To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Dongjiang Water Supply to Hong Kong in 2025, the Water Supplies Department (WSD) continues to launch the "thematic guided tours of Dongjiang Water Supply", which covers the transportation, storage and treatment of Dongjiang Water upon being delivered to Hong Kong. The thematic guide tours include Plover Cove Reservoir under Theme 1 and Tai Po Water Treatment Works under Theme 3. Participants completing both "thematic guided tours of Dongjiang Water Supply" above during the specified peroid will be eligible to redeem a limited version of Dongjiang Water Supply souvenir after verification and confirmation. "Excursion with Water Save Dave" Visiting Programme, to be conducted by way of guided tours, comprises visits to various waterworks facilities under three themes. It aims to introduce the historical background and significance of various waterworks facilities, enhancing public"s knowledge of water resources and raising their awareness of water conservation.
The following guided tours to waterworks facilities are now opened to individuals and organisations for visit by prior application:

Theme 1: Our Water Resources and Nature Plover Cove Reservoir is the world's first freshwater coastal reservoir which plays an important role in transporting and storing Dongjiang water, ensuring the stability of water supply of Hong Kong; while High Island Reservoir is the Hong Kong"s largest reservoir. Participants can visit these two reservoirs to understand their history while enjoying the beautiful scenery. |
Plover Cove Reservoir (The itinerary includes Tai Mei Tuk Family Walk which consists of mainly narrow trails and stairs thereby certain efforts will be required. Applicants should assess their own as well as their participants' health conditions and consider whether it is necessary to be accompanied and assisted by care takers before making application for the guided tour.) |

Theme 3: Fresh Water Treatment and Quality Control Participants can learn about the water treatment processes and strict water quality control after the Dongjiang water and local raw water entering the water treatment works. They can also learn about the daily operations of the water treatment plant and Hong Kong's water supply system. |

How to redeem?
- Participants should take part in two "thematic guided tours of Dongjiang Water Supply" under "Excursion with Water Save Dave" visiting programme, including Plover Cove Reservoir and Tai Po Water Treatment Works within the period from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026. Eligible participants can redeem a limited edition Water Save Dave family random blind box of 60th Anniversary of Dongjiang Water Supply to Hong Kong upon verification and confirmation.
- Eligible participants should apply for souvenir redemption by sending an email to (wsd_events@wsd.gov.hk) between 15 February 2026 and 15 April 2026. The email content should include the name, contact number, visiting location, and date of the guided tour you have participated in when registering for the "Excursion with Water Save Dave" Visiting Programme for verification.
- WSD will send an email notification to inform eligible participants of the redemption details, including the time and location of prize collection, upon confirmation. Eligible participants are required to redeem the souvenirs according to the details in the email. Participants should present the email containing the redemption reference number to our staff, provide their name and contact number during the visit, and sign for the souvenir redemption.
Detailed Terms and Conditions
- The "60th Anniversary of Dongjiang Water Supply to Hong Kong Prize Redemption Plan" for the participants of "thematic guided tours of Dongjiang Water Supply" under the Water Supplies Department (WSD) is held from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026.
- Deadline for redemption of souvenirs: 15 April 2026.
- To facilitate verification of the award eligibility, participants are required to register for the "thematic guided tours of Dongjiang Water Supply (1) & (2)" using the same name and contact number.
- Each eligible participant is only entitled to redeem one souvenir. Souvenirs will be distributed randomly and no selection nor exchange will be allowed.
- If the information provided is incomplete, inappropriate or unclear, WSD may disqualify the application without further notice.
- Confirmed eligible participants should collect the souvenir at the designated redemption location within the designated period. If participant fails to collect the souvenir before the deadline, or cannot be contacted, he or she will be deemed to have given up the right to redeem the souvenir, and his or her redemption eligibility will be cancelled. WSD will not make any further notice nor arrange to reissue the souvenirs, and reserves the final right to dispose of the relevant souvenirs.
- Participants must properly safeguard the redemption code in the award confirmation email and keep confidential to prevent unauthorized use. If anyone uses the code without authorization and improperly redeems the prize, the participant will be responsible for this, and the prize will not be reissued.
- Participants are deemed to have agreed and accepted these terms and conditions when participating in the prize redemption plan.
- WSD reserves the right of final decision in case of any disputes.
Personal Data Collection Statement
- Purpose of Collection: The personal data provided by means of this form will only be used for processing the application of visiting facilities of WSD and disseminating WSD information.
- Classes of Transferees: The personal data you provide by means of this form may be disclosed to other government bureaux and departments and other related organisations for the purposes mentioned in point 1 above.
- Access to Personal Data: You have a right of access and correction with respect to personal data as provided for in sections 18 and 22 and Principle 6 of Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Your right of access includes the right to obtain a copy of your personal data provided in this form subject to payment of a fee.
