    When a serious main burst affecting the water supply to a large area occurs, the Water Supplies Department will announce its details on our Customer Services Hotline. You need only follow the simple procedure shown below for listening to the recorded announcement or talk to our Customer Services Officer:

Notes:

  • Whenever a serious mains burst occurs, our Customer Services Hotline will usually receive lots of enquiry calls from the customers affected. We should be grateful if you can end the call as soon as you have obtained information of the incident, in order that other users can have room to access the Customer Services Hotline.   • For reporting or making enquiries on water supply faults, such as mains bursts, no supply etc., you can speak to our Customer Services Officers directly. After you have got connected to the Hotline and selected the language used, please press 0. and then 0. or 1. (depending on what you are after) for speaking to a Customer Services Officer.
  • When a lot of callers want to speak to our Customer Service Officers at the same time, the waiting time for your call to get connected to a Customer Services Officer may be long at times. You may then choose to follow the directions provided by the system to leave a message in our voice mailbox. Our Hotline staff will return a call to you as soon as possible.
