To further enhance the service of selling fresh water to replenish ships, WSD set up automatic shipping water selling machine to enable 24-hour automatic water selling service, marking a new milestone for the automation of selling water to ships for better convenience of marine workers to replenish fresh water anytime.  There are currently two shipping water selling machines in service, which are locarted at:-

• Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter (near existing Tuen Mun Water Selling Kiosk)
• Aberdeen West Typhoon Shelter (near Tin Wan Praya Road)
  
  

How to Use

Those who would like to use the machine should prepare the followings:-

• An octopus card with sufficient funds balance. Octopus top-up by cash is not available at the machine;  For using Faster Payment System (FPS), a mobile phone with camera function is required for scanning QR code on the machine;
• A camera or a mobile phone with camera function to record the transaction record; and
• An appropriate fitting to connect the water outlet. The machine is equipped with water outlets of one-inch, two-inch and three-inch.  Person who would like to purchase fresh water from the machine should prepare a camlock coupler (female) or screwed joint (female) that correspond to the available size.

Payment Method

The machine accepts payments by Octopus and Faster Payment System (FPS). Mainland China's Licensed Digital Wallets (i.e. AliPay (Mainland), WeChat Pay (Mainland) and UnionPay QuickPass) are also accepted in the shipping water selling machine in Tuen Mun.
