Press Briefing on School Water Audit

The aim of the "School Water Audit" is to let students learn about water conservation and help schools achieve saving in water consumption. The audit consists of two parts. In the first part, WSD's staff would visit the participating schools to promote water conservation concepts and tips to students. In the second part, the students visit the pre-identified audit locations in groups to measure flow rates of different devices, observe any leakages and report any abnormities of water use. Each group will then present their findings after discussion. The pilot phase of the audit commenced in December 2009. A press briefing on 28 April 2010 was held in one of the participating schools, Baptist (STW) Lui Ming Choi Primary School, to let reporters witness the students' field audit work.
