Improvement of water supply to northern New Territories

Project Scope

1. laying of about 5.2 kilometres (km) long fresh water trunk mains of diameters ranging from 600 millimetres (mm) to 1 400mm from Tai Po Water Treatment Works to Fanling;
2. construction of a new Fresh Water Pumping Station in Tong Hang with a pumping capacity of about 400 000 cubic metres (m³) per day;
3. modification of the existing pumps and associated electrical and mechanical installations in the existing Tai Po FWPS; and
4. carrying out other associated works.
