About IWAHK

International Water Association (IWA) was founded in September 1999 by the merger of the International Association of Water Quality (IAWQ) and the International Water Services Association (IWSA). IWA is a global network of water professionals, spanning the continuum between research and practice and covering all facets of the water cycle. The Association is a non-profit organization, self-governing and run by its Governing Members. It has permanent staff housed in its headquarters in London to support the activities of the Association and its members. From geographical perspective, IWA's membership reflects over 120 countries and regions throughout the world, covering all the continents and economic circumstances. There are three member types within the Association, ie Governing Member, Corporate Member and Individual Member that make up a total membership of approximately 10,000 individuals worldwide. The Constitution of IWAHK was adopted during the 1st General Meeting held on 30 August 2003.

Besides, IWAHK is also a Council Member of the Asia Pacific Regional Group of IWA (IWA-ASPIRE) representing Hong Kong, China to take part in the activities of the Asia Pacific Regional Group.
