The Water Supplies Department's quality management system governing the provision of water supply services ranging from raw water collection to water treatment and distribution of water to customers is ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) 9001:2000 certified. This signifies that the department has reached new heights in quality management. A certificate presentation ceremony was held on 6 May 2008.
At the ceremony, the Director of Water Supplies, Mr. MA Lee Tak said that the department had been giving its best efforts to establish and optimize a modern, systematic and professional quality management system that complied with international standards so as to provide water supply service of the highest quality to the public. Mr. MA pledged that the department would continue to strive for excellence and continuous improvement with a view to providing quality service to customers and the society.
