When a serious mains burst affecting the water supply to a large area occurs, the Water Supplies Department will announce its details on our Enquiry Hotline. You need only follow the simple procedure below to listen to the recorded announcement or talk to our Customer Services Officers:

In order to reduce supply interruptions arising from leakages at and bursts of aged water mains, WSD has launched a comprehensive and systematic programme since December 2000 to replace or rehabilitate about 3,000 kilometres of aged water mains.
