Procedures for Access and Charges

  1. This Department has designated an Access to Information Officer who is responsible for ensuring that requests for access to information under the Code are properly dealt with in accordance with the specified procedures.
  2. Request for information or records held by the Department may be made by email, by fax 2824 0578 or application form obtainable from the Reception counter of the Department. The application should be addressed to Access to Information Officer, Departmental Administration Division, Water Supplies Department.
  3. The following information is available for public inspection at the Reception Counter of the Department :
    1. An organisation chart of the Department
    2. Performance Pledge
    3. Programme Areas
    4. A copy of the Code on Access to Information (in English and Chinese)
    5. A copy of the Guidelines on Interpretation and Application, Code on Access to Information (in English)
    6. A list of records by category held by the Department (in English)
    7. A list of information either published or made available free of charge or at a cost
    8. Administrative procedures for handling requests for information under the Code (English)
  4. Other than publications which are available free of charge or at cost specified, the following photocopying charge will be levied :
    Reprographic/Photocopy of document and drawing (black and white only)
    Size above A0 HK$55 per copy
    Size above A3 but below or equal to A0 (1189 x 841 mm) HK$55 per copy
    Size at A3 (297 x 420 mm) HK$1.6 per copy
    Size at A4 (297 x 210 mm) HK$1.5 per copy
    Electronic Drawing
    (a) Handling charge HK$53 per drawing
    (b) Material charge HK$1.2 per 700MB CD-ROM
    HK$1.2 per 4.7GB DVD+/-R

    The above standard fees are applied unless otherwise provided by enactment or approved by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury.
